A new gig?

I just had an appointment at the Taxes Office about a lecture about autism. They are interested to have me in their autism team to raise more awareness about autism in their workplace in general. I made a cool looking powerpointpresentation and I told them what I always tell people about in a lecture. They were really enthusiastic.

Now we have to wait for an answer to the question if the higher ups give an approval of the whole project. I certainly hope so. It's really important that people know more about autism, so that autistics can have a good place in this society too!

I won!

I just won a photography contest on Taltopia. The subject of the contest was 'Wildlife (animals)/ funny or odd'.

My entry was a photo of a racoon washing himself. I made it at a zoo once. I had 64 votes.

Here you can see the contest:

Autism Lectures

Soon I'm going to do some lectures again about autism and share my story with others. I find it very important that people understand more about autism.

Lots of people say they have experiences with autism but that doesn't mean that they know how to deal with autistic people.

Koala Art

Recently I've learned that the koala is threatened with extinction so I decided to make photorealistic portraits of koalas and donate 25% of what I make with it to the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie, Australia. The people of this Koala Hospital do great work to save the koala.

You can find my koala art on my website:

Please contact me if you want to help the koala by purchasing a koala portrait!

My name is Heidi Vormer and my artist name is Remrov, which is my last name spelled backwards. I've already made all kinds of artwork since I was little and now
I specialize in drawing portraits, animals, houses, and cartoons.
I have a type of autism and due to this I see the whole world in lots of tiny details. So all my drawing tend to be this way too, very precise and detailed. I like to make very photorealistic artwork, but the cartoons are more from my own imagination.
Most of the art work you find on my website were assignments for others, but you can always contact me if you want a portrait or a cartoon yourself.
Besides making artwork I also write articles on a Dutch website called Xead. Mostly I write about my autism but also about other subject like science, animals, koala's etc.
